In recent years the Narkoojee Winery has been consistently rated as a five star red winery by the Australian Wine Companion. Nestled in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range with glorious views of the Strzelecki Ranges, Narkoojee is acknowledged as a premium wine producer in Gippsland.
Located between Glengarry and the old gold mining town of Walhalla, the vineyard is a two-hour drive from Frankston/ Mt Eliza. The Narkoojee Cellar Door and accompanying restaurant has been recognised as the best wine and food experience in the region.
Over the last twenty plus years Narkoojee wines have won numerous gold medals at wine shows across Australia. Including the 2013 Valerie Pinot winning best pinot noir at the International Cool Climate Wine Show.
Among many favourable reviews, Gourmet Traveller Magazine said, “As for the wines themselves, they are outstanding. The (top) Valerie range incorporating chardonnay, pinot noir and shiraz, is sourced from exceptional fruit in the vineyard resulting in sumptuous wines that reward many years of cellaring. While the Reserve and Premium ranges are at a lower price point, they are also wines of immense quality and flavour.”
Noting that Narkoojee wines are consistently immaculate, the Accor Vacation Club recommends the winery noting, “its wine range includes chardonnay, sparkling chardonnay/pinot noir, viognier, merlot, pinot noir, cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, sparkling cabernet and a rose.”
Narkoojee wines will be offered at a good discount on the day of lunch only for members to purchase.
