What’s Included in Ticket Price?
Each seasonal lunch event will showcase a specific winery or a wine region/theme along with a seasonal menu that will highlight ingredients that are carefully curated to match wines.
Most events will include:
- Canapes and glass of wine on arrival
- Entrée matched with two wines
- Main course matched with two wines
- Dessert / cheese matched with a wine
A representative, often the winemaker, of the wines being showcased will be present to describe the wines in more detail and to answer any questions. There is also opportunity to purchase wines at a special discount on the day.
Why attend our events?
Each event is always fun and highly educational. The committee puts great effort in sourcing wineries that are passionate about what they produce. We source these wineries from across the state, the country and host international wines once a year. Additionally, to the four seasonal lunches a year the society will occasionally host a number of other fun and educational nights like the Old Bottle Night, a Fortified Tasting, Virtual Tastings and at the end of the year we host a Christmas party
Where are the events located?
Events are held at various locations around the Mornington Peninsula that have capacity to hold the required number of people. Event locations we have used in the past include McClelland Gallery, Safety Beach Sailing Club, Mornington Golf Course, Ranelagh Club, Barn & Co, Merricks General Store, The Royal Hotel Mornington and The Rocks Mornington
How much wine is wine is served?
Typical lunch consists of 6 wines of roughly 75ml pour each, or 450mL across the event. This is approx. 4.5 standard drinks so please be aware of this and when considering whether or not to drive to and from our events.
Entry Requirements?
All participants must be 18 years of age. Age verification may be requested as necessary. Whilst there is no formal dress code, smart casual attire is suggested
What do I do if I can no longer attend?
We understand that things in life happen so please notify us if your plans change.
If we are notified more than 7 days before an event, we are able to refund the ticket price less any administrative costs via trybooking.
If you decide that you are unable to attend and notify us 7 days or less, the onus is on you to find a replacement. Once bookings close, the Society will use its best endeavour to find a replacement attendee and where a replacement attendee is found, the person cancelling will receive a refund less any administrative costs incurred.
